Evenflo Recalls Car Seats that Did Not Meet Federal Requirements
The company says a free fix is being developed for seats that may show correct installation when they are too upright.
On August 6, 2026, Ohio-based Evenflo recalled nearly 23,000 Revolve180 LiteMax NXT infant car seats after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported government crash tests found the seats may fail to meet federal safety standards.
The recall stems from a calibration issue with the level indicator, which can incorrectly show the seat is installed correctly when it is actually too upright, potentially increasing injury risk during a crash.
Only units manufactured before April 1, 2025, are included in the recall, whether sold as stand-alone items or within Shyft Intuiti or Omni travel systems, according to the company's notice.
While Evenflo develops free repair kits, families can safely continue using the seats by following specific installation instructions or contacting ParentLink Consumer Care for guidance.
No injuries have been reported regarding the defect to date, and the manufacturer plans to notify affected consumers about the recall on September 1.
