Yemen's armed forces say it is conducting strikes against Houthis in Sanaa
Government forces said they hit Houthi positions in three areas as the conflict escalates again after the 2022 truce collapsed.
On Sunday, Yemen's armed forces conducted strikes against Iran-aligned Houthis in Sanaa and Saada, targeting what military spokesman Colonel Majid described as "vital targets."
The strikes followed a Houthi attack on an Aramco facility in Riyadh on Saturday, where Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree claimed the group targeted the site with ballistic missiles and drones.
Houthi-Affiliated Al-Masirah reported "Saudi enemy aircraft" hit Sanaa with 26 strikes, while the Houthis reported 55 fighters killed and AFP noted 26 government troops died.
Fighting has intensified in Taiz, where combatants were reported killed on Friday, as the World Food Programme warned that three-quarters of Yemen's population cannot meet basic food needs.
Hostilities resumed this year after Houthis declared a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia, reigniting conflict as spillover from the wider war between Iran and the United States.
