On Monday, the Speaker of the Presidential Command Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Rashad Al-Alami, approved a general mobilization announcement, in a step aimed at confronting the military escalation of Al-Houthi, protecting citizens, defending the republican system, constitutional legality, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

The Yemeni House of Representatives approved a request to declare a general mobilization against the Houthis. The request, submitted by the head of the Yemeni Presidential Council, Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, was accepted in accordance with Articles 37 and 119/17 of the Constitution. The decision will take effect on the date of its announcement.
