Yemen’s Riyadh-based President Rashid al-Alimi on Friday called on his people to mobilise and join the armed forces while offering a general amnesty to the Iran-backed Houthi rebels who have seized swaths of Yemen's Red Sea coast and imposed a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia.
The President of the Yemeni Presidential Command Council, Rashad Mohammed Al-Alami, extended an invitation to the Yemeni people to mobilize the general public and to make a national scene, to circumvent the armed forces and security forces and to join their ranks through official channels in support of the defence of the Republic and State institutions.
