Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, Chicago concerts start tonight at Soldier Field
On Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, returned to Chicago for his first hometown concert since 2021, surprising fans at Soldier Field by bringing out former G.O.O.D. Music protégé Big Sean.
The reunion marks a public reconciliation for the pair, whose relationship soured in 2021 after Ye claimed Big Sean failed to support his 2020 presidential campaign and engaged in contract disputes.
Sean joined Ye atop the globe-like stage to perform collaborations including "Clique" and "Mercy," while other guests including Future, Twista, and 2 Chainz appeared during the two-hour set.
During the performance, Ye introduced Sean by saying, "Had to bring my homie from the D out," as the two exchanged expressions of mutual support and affection.
The show continues Ye's stadium tour following backlash over his antisemitic remarks, with the Anti-Defamation League monitoring Soldier Field Thursday to ensure no hate symbols were displayed by the artist or fans.
