Yash Says Toxic Is “for Gen Zs,” Addresses Criticism over Intimate Scenes: “I Haven’t Even Kissed”
Yash says the film is meant for Gen Z and defends Geetu Mohandas’s artistic choices after teasers drew criticism over intimacy and misogyny.
During an appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, actor Yash defended his upcoming film Toxic against criticism regarding intimate scenes, emphasizing the project is tailored for Gen-Zs.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic marks Yash's return to the big screen after four years and is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
Addressing concerns about sexual imagery, Yash insisted that "vulgarity is wrong" and explained that scenes are shot aesthetically, with emotions central to the narrative.
Featuring a cast including Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth, the drama explores generational conflicts with Yash starring in dual roles as Raya and Rumi.
With an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, the film targets adult audiences and focuses on questions younger viewers ask about their seniors.
