[Yomiuri Shimbun] The Nara District Court announced on the 2nd that the date and time of the trial by lay judges of unemployed defendant Tetsuya Yamagami (45), who was indicted on murder and other charges in the case of the shooting death of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (then 67 years old) in Nara City in 2022, has been set for 1:30 pm on January 21st of next year.
On the 2nd, the Nara District Court announced that the full trial schedule for the lay judge trial of Tetsuya Yamagami (45), who is charged with murder and violations of the Swords and Firearms Control Law in connection with the shooting of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has been set. The trial will run from the first hearing on the 28th of this month to December 18th.
