X recovers after outage affects thousands globally, Downdetector shows
Cloudflare said it was investigating elevated latency and error rates as more than 27,000 users reported problems on Downdetector.
More than 15,000 users reported issues with the Elon Musk-owned site just before 10 a.m. ET on Monday, according to DownDetector, which records live outages.
It is not the first time the Elon Musk-owned site has experienced issues, having had short outages a couple of times this year according to DownDetector.
The majority of the outage was reported along the East Coast, including New York City, Boston and Washington, while users in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta also reported issues.
Of the problems reported, 49% relate to the app, while 28% reported problems with the feed and timeline, and 15% related to the website itself.
After thousands of users reported issues, the site appears to be back up and running as of 10:20 a.m. ET, with reports falling according to DownDetector.
