Worried about AI taking your first job? These 26 degrees rank lowest for exposure
A new US Census working paper ranks college majors by their exposure to AI across 10 levels. Here we look at the two lowest-exposure levels, covering nursing, therapy, teacher education, healthcare and science fields, and examine what lower AI exposure could mean for graduates entering the job market.
An analysis carried out in the United States of 831 occupations identified which have the greatest exposure to Artificial Intelligence.
Dallas Fed research found graduates from majors with high exposure to AI experienced a 1.7 percent decline in job opportunities .|Workers from AI-affected fields also posted a decline in first-year earnings of about 5 percent post-graduation. |Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Languages became the majors most exposed to the development of generative AI.
