New federal regulations for Medicaid (commonly known as "white card") will be implemented starting in 2027. The New York City Department of Health stated on October 1st that up to 900,000 of the city's nearly 3.6 million Medicaid enrollees may face the risk of losing coverage due to work requirements and the new review process. The city is launching a large-scale advocacy and assistance campaign.
