British Woman 'with a Child' Is Stabbed to Death in Portuguese Hotel
Police said the woman was stabbed multiple times and died at the scene as investigators probe the killing.
On Tuesday night, a 34-year British woman was stabbed to death at the Alfagar Alto Colina hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, and a 34-year British man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The victim was staying at the hotel with her partner and child, and local reports claim the woman was allegedly attacked multiple times in front of her child.
Emergency services were called to the popular holiday destination at around 6:45 PM after reports of a stabbing. Paramedics found the woman with multiple stab wounds and pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the 34-year British man remains in custody as Portugal's national Pol and the Judici investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
The Alfagar Alto Colina resort overlooks the Algarve coast in southern Portugal and is described as being within walking distance of the beach.
A younger child was meeting the couple at the time a 34-year-old woman was killed in a hotel in Albufeira. The victim's partner was arrested by the GNR on suspicion of murder.
