One man has died and another was seriously injured when they were struck by an SUV that backed into a barber shop in Vanier on Tuesday afternoon, according to Ottawa police and paramedics. The driver faces impaired driving charges.
Police confirmed the death of a 29-year-old man on Wednesday morning.
On 22 September, at approximately 1740 hours, a vehicle reportedly receded in a hair salon on McArthur Avenue in Vanier. Two men aged 30 and 32 years, who were inside, were seriously injured. The 30-year-old man suffered injuries that required resuscitation on site. Firefighters started the manoeuvres before the paramedics took care of them.
