Phoenix Woman Accused of Firing at Salon After $15 Nail Fix Dispute

Police say a 26-year-old woman returned with a gun after a fingernail dispute and fired one shot while 18 people were inside.

Police say Essence Mire, 26, argued with an employee at Element Nail Bar near 16th Street and Bethany Home Road on Sunday over the cost of fixing a broken fingernail. Investigators say she punched the employee, left the salon and returned with a gun. Court documents say she fired one shot into the front glass door while 18 people were inside, sending customers and workers running or hiding.
