On Thursday, April 23, 2026, the Tyrolean state government issued a decree to launch a risk wolf in the district of Innsbruck-Land. It was fulfilled by the hunters yesterday, Tuesday, in the late evening and is subsequently lifted. In the municipal area of Gschnitz, a wolf had previously been repeatedly detected in close proximity to human-inhabited buildings – both through sighting reports and video material.
