Wizz Air may be preparing for mass layoffs in Romania: the airline may lay off 172 employees at its four Romanian bases, APIX.ro reports, based on an internal notice sent to employees.
Wizz Air announced its employees regarding collective redundancies between October and November 2026. Employees in the performance functions of Bucharest, Craiova, Cluj and Iasi are targeted. The two criteria underlying the selection are the achievement of performance objectives and old age.
