Wizards G Trae Young (quad, back) does not need surgery

On Saturday, the Washington Wizards announced guard Trae Young is out indefinitely and will not suit up against the OKC Thunder at 4 p.m. CT in Capital One Arena.
After re‑aggravating his right quadriceps against Golden State, imaging showed lower back irritation, the Wizards announced Saturday.
Young has suited up only five times for Washington since the Jan. 9 trade, debuting March 5 and averaging 20.6 minutes, 15.2 points and 6.2 assists.
The Wizards said neither injury requires surgery and will be treated conservatively, amid a 14‑game losing streak and other sidelined contributors.
With 13 games remaining, reports say Trae Young seems likely done for the year, increasing uncertainty over his long‑term fit as the Wizards consider drafting a top point guard and contract prospects.
