Wildfires Near Salamina Naval Base and on Mainland Trigger Evacuation Orders

Authorities ordered five settlements near Athens evacuated Tuesday as large wildfires raged southeast of the capital and near the country’s biggest naval base on the island of Salamina, while firefighters fought more blazes northwest of the city and in northern Greece.
