Group works to preserve 4,000 acres at Tuckertown Reservoir

For the last 30 years, the North Carolina Wildlife commission has leased the land. But recently, the owners put about 4,000 acres up for sale.

Wild turkey group donates to Tuckertown preservation effort

The North Carolina state chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is donating $50,000 to a conservation group's effort to buy 4,000 acres along the Yadkin River and Tuckertown Reservoir in Davidson, Montgomery, Rowan and Stanly counties.
