UP: Upset over Contact with First Wife, Woman Gets Husband Killed by Lover; Minor Among 4 Held
Police said the woman conspired with her lover over repeated disputes, and officers recovered the murder weapon and e-rickshaw used to dump the body.
- On Friday, Lucknow police arrested Sufia Bano, her lover Munna alias Muchhad, and his associate Mohammad Iqbal alias Basir Ahmed for allegedly murdering her husband, Ram Kishore Valmiki, last week at their Mohanlalganj home.
- Disputes over Ram Kishore's financial support for his first wife, Kavita Devi, and his discovery of Bano's affair with Munna triggered the conspiracy. 'Bano then conspired with Munna and his associate Mohammad Iqbal' to kill him, police said.
- The group stabbed the sleeping victim during the night of September 14-15, then Bano's 16-year-old son helped hide the body in a wooden box before they dumped it near a canal around 22 km away.
- Investigators used 180 CCTV cameras to track the e-rickshaw transporting the body, enabling swift identification. The adults received judicial custody while the Juvenile Justice Board sent the son to a correction home.
- Police recovered the alleged murder weapon and bloodstained evidence hidden in the residence. Kavita Devi's FIR under Section 103 of the BNS initiated the investigation that led to the arrests in the Mohanlalganj case.
