Emmys 2026: Who Is Katie Dippold? The Woman Behind Widow’s Bay’s 19 Nominations
On Monday, British actor Kate O'Flynn won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role in Apple TV's "Widow's Bay," marking her first Emmy on her first nomination.
Set on a remote New England island, the series follows Mayor Tom Loftis's attempt to revive the town, with O'Flynn playing his socially awkward assistant, Patricia Moyer.
The horror-comedy scored 19 nominations this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series, after winning eight prizes during earlier Emmy ceremonies.
During her acceptance speech, O'Flynn thanked series creator Katie Dippold and executive producer Hiro Murai, calling the role "the role of a lifetime."
With season 2 writing underway, Dippold confirmed in August that the production team has begun drafting new storylines for the series.
