- Users can access identification methods, Texas Animal Health Commission zone maps, and federal case dashboards via the new platform. The site also offers educational materials and registration for free New World screwworm Certified Inspector Training.
- Abbott recently joined Secretary Rollins to announce a $750 million investment in a new sterile fly production facility in Edinburg. Abbott also activated the State Emergency Operations Center and visited the Knipling-Bushland Livestock Insects Research Laboratory in Kerrville.
- Texans are urged to remain vigilant, reporting suspected cases immediately to the Texas Animal Health Commission or Texas Parks 24-hour biologist line. Ongoing containment efforts focus on training additional inspectors and maintaining a unified federal-state monitoring approach.
