The first schedule of the Totocalcio was played on May 5, 1946, eighty years ago. My first job was to check out the schedules. The mechanism was simple, mechanical and hypnotic together. The sequence was memorized as a poem, and the 12 and 13 were searched for. The sequence continued to turn in the head even after, returning home, in sleep.
