Waynesboro Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Wendy’s restaurant at 200 Virginia Parkway, on Monday, February 2, around 6 p.m. According to Waynesboro Fire Chief Robert Parrish, the fire was started when a Wendy’s employee discarded a cigarette in the landscape mulch beneath the distinctive red box part of the building.
