More secondary school pupils in Wales will soon be able to receive free school meals under new Welsh Government plans.

The new Welsh Government has committed to expanding free school meals for secondary school learners in households receiving Universal Credit by removing the income threshold. At present, secondary school learners can only get free school meals, excluding benefits, if their family receives Universal Credit and the household income is below £7,400.
