'We’ll get back to the economic issues,' but thanking Gander is priority for 9/11, says U.S. ambassador
U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra landed in Gander on Thursday to be part of a group of dignitaries honouring Gander's response following the 9/11 attacks 25 years ago. Speaking with the CBC's David Common, Hoekstra said that despite the dispute between the two border neighbours, his priority is thanking residents for what they did back in 2001.
