The final day of the 71st All Japan University Weightlifting Championships was held on the 14th at the Yamanashi City General Gymnasium, and in the men's over 110kg class, Tanahara Mikikatsu (Okinawa Technical High School - Hosei University, 4th year) came in second place with a total of 323kg (snatch 142kg, jerk 181kg). Regretting his failures and lamenting his bad luck, there was no joy in his good result of second place overall.
