Fire caused extensive damage to a large commercial building on Shaw Street over the supper hour yesterday. The building, owned by Smith Stockley, contained several operations including the Geraldine Rubia Centre and a warehouse for plumbing supplies and vehicles. A fire at a warehouse in downtown St. John’s on Wednesday afternoon has destroyed one vehicle and caused extensive damage to the building and its contents.
