ALBANY — Fifteen sheriffs from across New York, including the sheriffs of Franklin, St. Lawrence, Jefferson, and Lewis counties, have filed a lawsuit challenging a state law that blocks agreements between civil law enforcement agencies and federal immigration authorities.
