- On Tuesday, SpaceX launched the NROL-77 mission from Space Launch Complex 40 at 2:16 p.m. EST carrying a classified payload for the National Reconnaissance Office partnered with U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command.
- Under the National Security Space Launch Phase 2 contract, NROL-77 was assigned as the first mission from Order Year 5, announced Oct. 31, 2023, managed by U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command.
- Using booster B1096, Falcon 9 first-stage booster on its fourth mission, the first stage aimed to land at Landing Zone 2 about eight and a half minutes after liftoff, with possible sonic booms over Central Florida counties.
