According to ChainCatcher, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins stated in a live interview with CNBC that he hopes to drive the stock market towards on-chain operations, adding that the entire financial system is moving towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. The SEC previously introduced an "innovation exemption," allowing eligible exchanges to conduct on-chain trading of tokenized U.S. stocks.
