Following the Southern Hospital, another Warsaw healthcare facility has been found to have irregularities related to waiting lists. As reported by the Rynek Zdrowia portal, following a National Health Fund (NFZ) inspection, the clinic at the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw was fined nearly PLN 300,000.
An audit conducted by the National Health Fund (NFZ) revealed irregularities in the waiting lists at the Otolaryngology, Head, and Neck Surgery Clinic of the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw, reports the Rynek Zdrowia website. The irregularities affected 70 percent of the audited admissions. The clinic was fined nearly PLN 300,000.
"The complaint letter indicates that not all patients were admitted to services under the same conditions," reports the Rynek Zdrowia website. As it turns out, this wasn't the first inspection at the facility during which the National Health Fund (NFZ) discovered irregularities.
