First Look at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge, Ahead of 2027 Opening
The 967-room resort will add waterfront Lake Houses and themed villas, with early reservations opening for Disney Vacation Club members and passholders in October.
Walt Disney World revealed that Disney's Lakeshore Lodge will officially open on July 1, 2027, along the shores of Bay Lake, marking the first new resort in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area since 1994.
The 967-room resort will feature accommodations inspired by Disney Animation films including "Bambi," "Encanto," "Fantasia," "Brother Bear," and "Pocahontas," with options ranging from duo studios to unique waterfront Lake Houses.
Outdoor recreation at The Wetlands features a zero-entry pool and lazy river, while the resort offers three primary dining locations including the waterfront Moonglade restaurant.
Reservations for the resort open to the general public on October 8, following early access for Disney Vacation Club members on October 6 and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7.
Lakeshore Lodge stands on the site of the former River Country water park, which closed in 2001; Disney originally announced the project in 2018 under the name "Reflections" before construction paused during COVID-19.
