Why Juke Harris Was a 'Primary Target' for Rick Barnes, Tennessee Basketball
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 21.4 points and 6.5 rebounds last season and chose Tennessee over Michigan and North Carolina.
On Monday, May 4, 2026, former Wake Forest guard Juke Harris announced his commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers basketball program, choosing to play for head coach Rick Barnes.
The ACC Most Improved Player of the Year entered the transfer portal April 3 after two seasons at Wake Forest, having previously visited Tennessee in October 2022.
Shooting 44.4% from the floor and 33.2% from three-point range, Harris averaged 21.4 points and 6.5 rebounds last season across 35 games for the Demon Deacons.
Harris joins as Barnes's seventh transfer addition, bringing Tennessee's scholarship count to 13 of the allotted 15 spots with two remaining for the upcoming season.
Although Harris briefly considered the 2026 NBA Draft, he chose college, providing the offensive punch Tennessee needs after finishing 10th in SEC efficiency last season.
