Faced with a record trade deficit with China, Ursula von der Leyen raised the tone Thursday 27 August in front of the bosses of the Medef meeting in Paris, evoking the different weapons available to the EU, if the current trade negotiations with Beijing do not succeed.
The President of the European Commission, a guest in honour of the Encounter des Entrepreneurs de France (Ref), warned about the continent's industrial drop-out, without calling free trade into question.
