MARTIN - After more than a quarter of a century, the Slovak Volkswagen plant in Martin is preparing for a fundamental restructuring change. Instead of components for passenger cars, it should gradually switch to assembling chassis parts for trucks in cooperation with sister brand MAN. The automaker declares its efforts to maintain employment, but behind the scenes there is also talk of a possible impact on hundreds of workers.
