Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo Receives a New LWB Version, Packing 335 HP and 4Motion All-Wheel Drive
The new model adds 4.4 cubic meters of cargo space and a 250 kW all-wheel-drive version, Volkswagen said.
- On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, Volkswagen launched the Buzz Cargo LWB, with pre-sales for the AWD model beginning immediately at $58,000.
- After Kia introduced the PV7, Volkswagen moved quickly to add a longer version of its electric work van. The LWB variant provides half a cubic meter of additional storage space, reaching 4.4 cubic meters total.
- Measuring 4,962 mm in length with a 3,239 mm wheelbase, the new model offers a maximum payload of up to 700 kg. It features the latest Travel Assist software and a 19 cm wider sliding door.
- The RWD model will go on sale next week starting at $55,000. The United Kingdom will follow in early 2027, with an official launch planned for the spring season.
- Equipped with an 86 kWh battery, the Buzz delivers a WLTP range of nearly 300 miles. Buyers can choose between RWD and 4Motion AWD configurations, with the latter providing up to 250 kW or 335 hp.
