The Kremlin withdrew its ambassador to the UK in an attempt to force Britain to reconsider its support for Ukraine. Andrei Kelin, who served as Russian ambassador to the UK for over seven years, left his diplomatic post on 21 July. Moscow did not submit any candidate to the Foreign Ministry to replace him, and the embassy staff apparently had no indication as to when he might be called a successor, writes The Times.
