Assemblyman Viviana Veloz (Citizen's Revolution) formally asked the Minister of Defense, Gian Carlo Loffredo, for a detailed report on the circumstances in which the 46-year-old citizen Efraín F. of the Cuicocha community died during a joint operation of the security forces in the framework of the social protests on September 28, 2025.
A deceased protester, 12 wounded soldiers and 17 others detained, left the national strike in Ecuador. The clashes took place in Cotacachi, province of Imbabura.
