A Vilnius city initiative launched in late September to encourage those who have not yet done so to declare their place of residence in the capital has attracted around 5,000 people. The city mayor says the initiative is yielding results, but the president of the Association of Municipalities disagrees, saying the numbers are small and such initiatives create discord between municipalities.
