- MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the Indian Government remains "fully committed" to bringing fugitives back, noting talks with several governments continue despite layers of legalities involved.
- Earlier, the Bombay High Court reprimanded Mallya for avoiding court proceedings and granted him a final opportunity to clarify his intent to return, as Mallya alleges the Indian Government's "poster boy actions" have been "grossly unjust.
