TRNC Prime Minister Üstel announced that legal, residency, and health regulations have come into effect for those affected by the shipwreck off Girne on August 30. Bar association support will be provided, court costs will be waived, and foreigners covered by the regulations will receive free healthcare until August 30, 2027.

The Council of Ministers has issued a decree with the force of law to exempt victims of the ship disaster from legal costs.
