VI Raiders drop 70-plus vs. Kamloops in BC conference football game
Dylan Moreno threw four touchdowns and the Raiders piled up 77 points, with 253 rushing yards and a defense that allowed no first-half first downs.
On Aug 15, the Raiders defeated the Kamloops Broncos 77-0 in Nanaimo, marking the highest-scoring game under head coach Shawn Arabsky.
Quarterback Dylan Moreno completed 74 per cent of his passes for 261 yards and four touchdowns, while the offensive backfield added 253 rushing yards.
The Raiders' defense allowed zero rushing yards in the first half and limited Kamloops to six first downs using a "simple defence," per head coach Arabsky.
With a 3-1 record in the Football Conference, the team is tied for second place nearing the middle of its 10-game regular season.
The Raiders host the undefeated 4-0 Langley Rams this Saturday in a critical three-game stretch also featuring Okanagan and Westshore.
