The former Notre Dame star finished with 444 catches, 6,609 yards and 43 touchdowns across nine CFL seasons.
On Tuesday, veteran CFL receiver DaVaris Daniels announced his retirement via social media after nine seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, and Toronto Argonauts.
The former Notre Dame standout appeared in 125 regular-season games, recording 444 catches for 6,609 yards and 43 touchdowns during his CFL career.
Daniels won three Grey Cups with the Stampeders in 2018 and Toronto in 2022 and 2024; his father, Phillip Daniels, is a former NFL defensive end and current Ottawa Redblacks coach.
Before joining the CFL, Daniels spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots in 2015; he reflected, "I came out the other side grateful."
The six-foot, 203-pound receiver did not divulge his future plans, writing, "As one chapter closes I step into what's next carrying everything this game gave me.
