Future TGV-Ms ordered by SNCF from Alstom were expected to return to service at the beginning of 2026. A total of 115 trainsets are expected on the rails.
"The deadline for registration and the manufacturer's production and delivery schedule lead to a commercial commissioning scheduled for 1 July 2026," the company announced in a press release.
Until the beginning of 2026, the future TGV of the SNCF, which will link Paris and Marseille, will finally enter service next summer. In March, the SNCF presented its new TGV M, which can be used both for the TGV INOUI and for OIGO. Its commissioning, initially announced for the OJ 2024, has been postponed twice. It is finally scheduled for July 2026.
The delay is due to a "delay in the delivery" of the trainsets, announced the CEO of SNCF Voyageurs. The service was initially scheduled to begin in the summer of 2024.
