Vernon woman charged with murdering her mother
Tandra Conn remains in custody as the first-degree murder charge in her mother's death heads back to court for a pre-trial scheduling hearing.

- Vernon North Okanagan RCMP officers responded to a family disturbance at Brookside Gardens Estates on June 20, 2025, where they found the 75-year-old woman dead shortly after 4 p.m.
- Police received numerous calls regarding an escalating fight in the 2300 block of 34th Street at Brookside Gardens Estates; officers located the body on the patio when they arrived.
