CDMX.- The Congress of Veracruz approved by majority to eliminate the constitutional jurisdiction of mayors, trustees and municipal councils, thus allowing the authorities to investigate and prosecute them criminally without requiring a trial of origin.
The deputies and deputies of the LXVII State Legislature approved the opinion of the Standing Committee on Justice and Constitutional Points that amended the first paragraph of Article 78 of the Political Constitution of the State of Veracruz and that deletes the declaration of provenance as a prerequisite for criminal proceedings against persons holding municipal presidencies, municipal council presidencies and union offices.
