Independent Venezuelan journalist and political scientist Nicmer Evans ended up in the hands of the secret service.
Venezuelan authorities on Saturday arrested the head of the independent news website Punto de Corte, political scientist Nicmer Evans. His relatives and Venezuelan NGOs reported this. According to the Foro Penal organization, the regime of authoritarian President Nicolás Maduro currently holds at least 889 political prisoners, AFP reported on Sunday.
