- Officials suspect a short circuit triggered the fire, which gutted the drawing room without spreading to other rooms, and the family donated the boys' eyes to an eye bank per their wishes.
- An FIR under section 194 of the BNSS Act was registered, investigations are ongoing, and the children's mortal remains were handed to their family after their mother returned from Mumbai.
