Phoebe Bridgers Album Comes to Science Museum of Virginia for Planetarium Show
The phone-free sessions will pair the album with custom dome or laser visuals, and the run is already sold out in the US and UK.
Phoebe Bridgers is hosting immersive listening events for her new album, 'Lost Weekend', in more than 40 planetariums worldwide ahead of its August 14 release. Fans get an "out-of-this-world" first listen to the 16-track record.
Beginning Monday, August 10, guests will experience custom dome shows by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi or immersive laser displays by Laser Fantasy. Sessions are entirely phone-free, with attendees securing devices in Yondr pouches to ensure focus on music and visuals.
These unique events span more than 30 cities across the US, Canada, and Europe. Additionally, more than 300 record stores globally will host midnight release parties on Thursday, August 13.
The launch, conducted in partnership with Spotify, builds anticipation for 'The Lost Tour', Bridgers' first solo headlining trek in several years. The upcoming tour will follow the same phone-free approach.
'Lost Weekend' marks Bridgers' first solo album since 2020's 'Punisher'. Beyond music, she is set to make her acting debut in A24's 'Primetime', starring Robert Pattinson as a television host who hunts sexual predators.
