Interagency work made it possible to strengthen the prevention and detection of possible launches of prohibited elements into the prison. A large preventive and security deployment developed Carabineros de Chile and Gendarmería in the vicinity of the Puerto Montt Prison Complex, with the aim of preventing and detecting the eventual entry of prohibited elements into the prison by means of the so-called method of launching or “pelotazos”.
The exercise was carried out in a sector close to the Women's Prison and mobilized brigades from Gendarmerie, Fire Departments, Conaf, Carabineros and SAMU. The facility will also reinforce the preventive breakdown during the second semester.
